Consequently the use of an external modem is recommended. D. Logviewer ------------ 1. Handling and display of alarms improved 2. Handling of new events included (see "On-board logging" above 3. Handling of empty New.Mon file now possible 4. Circular refences in worksheets now handled 2. Tested with Excel 2003 ############################################################################# # TWC-RMS PC Software Version 1.31 (Released 2003-08-08) # # TWC-XX , COM-XX, and RKPro-XX Firmware Version 2.39 (Released 2003-08-08) # ############################################################################# Known issues/bugs in these versions ***************************************** 1 - Empty Steps First step in a schedule must not be empty (i.e. no decoders and Run Time = 0 minutes). It is possible if you are working on the controller. If you insert a step when you are working in step 1 an empty step is inserted as step 1. If data is transferred back and forth between the Controller and the PC, the schedule will end up with a duplicated last step. 2. - Older versions of monitoring data may not work with all new Logviewer functions 3. - In the Flow Wizard the last decoder in the list cannot be used in the action of an alarm. Major changes included in these versions ********************************************** Four major parts of the system have been modified A. Sensor Decoder system ------------------------------------ * * Negative flow eliminated ** The Sensor Decoders initialisation changed from "-0.1" to "0". If a flow meter did not give a reading the controller would see it as a flow of -0.1 GPM. The resulting sum would be misleading and in some cases the controller display would show " - -GPM" ** SD Polling modified** If less than 5 SD's installed, Polling will be done every 30 seconds. If more than 4 SD's installed the polling will be every 60 seconds The whole polling FW has been re-worked in detail to optimise the time constants. ** The action "Activate" has been modified** "Activate All" is no longer possible, since it makes no sense. ** Text for Check Mark in Flow Wizard changed** The text gave impression that the check mark would en- or disable display of individual Sensor Decoders The correct text is "Include in Sum" ** Programming of Sensor Decoders improved** When the controller is set to "Auto" all Sensor Decoders are programmed automatically. The programming of the built-in Sensors (Rain, Alarm, Short) were included in this process. This was not necessary and it has been removed from the process. B. SEUF (Seek and Eliminate Unexpected Flow) and Alarms ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** Prevent looping of SEUF** On systems with limited pressure SEUF could sometimes go into a loop. The values used to calculate flow in a step is normally entered based on running one valve at a time. This can be done manually or by running the "Test" schedule with run times of more than 180 seconds. If several valves are activated in a step, the pressure drop in the system can give a flow through each valve lower than the expected value, meaning the measured flow is below the limit used by SEUF, which could be activated. The SEUF stops the decoders in the Step, and activates one decoder at a time, and every valve would be OK. So the controller would restart the step and the flow would again be lower than expected, activating the SEUF again. The operator may adjust the Min/Max levels for activating SEUF to prevent the looping, but we have limited activating SEUF more than twice in a step. ** Reaction on Leak Alarm improved** In addition to "Activating/Deactivating" a decoder, it is now also possible to inhibit irrigation for a defined period of time, meaning that the controller will not activate/decativate decoders and it will not be logged as such. C. TWC-RMS Software and Controller firmare -------------------------------------------------------------- ** FA run times of 999 minutes and multi-site operation added** The FA can be set to enter run times of up to 999 minutes. The controller firmware now accepts this and also will work in a multi site mode. (Up to 99 sites) ** Fixed "Error writing to Installation Data"** This situation would occur when a step in the controller was empty, i.e. no decoders and no Run Time. Empty steps will now be automatically deleted in the controller, but please refer to "Known issues/Bugs" at the top of this document. ** Telephone hang up after alarm (pager) call** The internal modem would not always hang up and go into autoanswer mode after a call, triggered by an alarm. This meant that the operator could not get contact with the controller via the telephone line. A Modem reset has been added. ** Back-up/restore of PC database improved** ** Delete/Insert sites in the Phone Book is now prevented** If Phone book were modified the indexes (for looking up data in the database) would go wrong. ** Pump Switch codes retrieval** Pump Switch codes were not received from the controller ** Decoder name of "-" no longer permitted** If operator used only "-" to name a decoder the controller could not handle this properly. The PC program will no longer accept this as a name. ** Switch codes are now transmitted as Upper case characters**. ** Column sort on Decoders re-implemented** ** Erasing a Sensor Decoder no longer permitted** When a Sensor Decoder was erased the Sensor Decoder set-up tables were not updated properly, so this is no longer permitted. An "Erase all Sensor Decoders" function has been added. ** Print Installation Data improved** Only first Sensor Decoder would be listed. Changed to list all SD's ** Display of Manually Started decoder fixed** On the controller LCD the Manually started decoders would be shown on the controller display even after the end of the run. Display now updated properly ** Autocall function modified** Data packages (log-data) were not always received properly ** Improved retrieving/transferring data** ** Improved print of Installation data** ** Improved the registration software** ** Included warning for duplicate addresses** (For decoders and Pumps) D. Logviewer ------------------ ** Empty "new.mon" will no longer make Logviewer crash** ** Problems related to correct display of Alarms (and SEUF) have been fixed** The activation of SEUF is now logged and more clearly marked in the Logviewer ** In the Logviewer error.xls will be displayed if number of decoders on the failed** list (following activations of SEUF) has reached the maximum of 10. This is important since it will prevent the controller from running Irrigation Schedules until the number of failed valves are less than 10. ** Power Up now logged (and power down in RKPro)** ** Controller in/out of Auto Mode now logged**. ** Wrong Flow was displayed when running parallel schedules** Flow measurements are now logged whenever decoders are started/stopped (Used to be only at the end of steps) This problem would sometime result in Runtime error in Logviewer (Divide by 0) ** Manual browse for the Excel program** Should the "Extract" program be unable to locate the Excel on the PC a browse window will allow the operator to find it. ** Excel version check improved** Logviewer has been tested on Excel version 11 (Windows -XP/Office - XP) Should the Excel version be greater than Excel 11 a warning will be displayed. (The Logviewer uses Excel marcos and VBA progamming and if the Excel macro/VBA functionality is changed in future releases of MS Office, the Logviewer may not work as expected) ** New Sheets** Logviewer has been modified to include the following sheets: Global: Error Sheet (Displays errors and larms for all sites) For each site: Raw.xls (Raw data), Data.xls (Steps), and View.xls (Steps and alarms) ** Added display of alarm limits in Logviewer** ** Individual timestamps per site added** "Extract and View" will now work with individual sites and wll now allow extract to be made at any time even if monitoring data has not been retrieved from all sites.
